In Regency times, picnics were very popular and every fashionable lady would need just the right outfit to wear to such an event. A comfortable and cool dress was a must, along with a shawl in case a breeze blew up and a straw poke bonnet to keep the sun of her delicate face. ‘Picnic Party’ has all these essential pieces. The round necked Empire style dress has pretty ruched puff sleeves made in a delicate white cotton broiderie anglais (eyelet) over a pastel pink satin and is trimmed with little ribbon roses. There is a matching shawl and to complete the outfit is a hand made and lined straw poke bonnet.
