A very smart ‘Spencer’ jacket, poke bonnet and bag ensemble. During the Regency era, every fashionable lady would own a short jacket known as a ‘Spencer’. This deep rose silk, fully lined Spencer has a small collar and long sleeves and is trimmed in a pink, green and lavender braid. The matching poke bonnet is also fully lined and the brim has a toning blush rose shirred lining. The bonnet is lavishly decorated with lace, braid, feathers and rose buds. A matching ‘reticule’ (dorothy bag) completes the ensemble.
