Top of the range costume ensemble to fit 16 inch fashion dolls (Tyler, Gene, Alex etc.)
This stunning costume ensemble comprises of several pieces, all individually hand-crafted by me to the highest of standards. Each item is completely removable, fastening with either metal snaps or hooks and eyes where applicable.
The main full-length mid Tudor style gown is made in dark forest green taffeta and is fully lined with pale cream lining to prevent staining to the doll.
The low square necked bodice is trimmed with a lavish ruffle of delicate lace and further trimmed with rich golden braid and a fancy crystal pendant. The close-fitting bodice ends in a point with an exquisitely jewelled chain hanging belt fixed around the waist.
The main gown skirt is embellished at each side with golden braid to match that on the bodice, and is open to reveal a separate petticoat with a fancy patterned silk panel.
Each long hanging sleeve is lined with fine golden netting and worn folded back to reveal false silk under-sleeves that match the panel on the petticoat.
The lavish false under-sleeves are fully lined and fasten with snaps. Delicate lace froths at each wrist and the lower edges are decorated with tiny silk ribbon swags to simulate slashing, as was the fashion during the Tudor era. Every tiny silk swag is further embellished with golden jewelled filigrees.
The gown and fancy petticoat are supported by a lace-trimmed stiff net underskirt, also included in the ensemble.
