Very Alpine in style, this prettiest of costumes is based on those worn in the French region of Provence.

This delightful outfit consists of a dress with a white cotton lawn blouse-style bodice (fully lined) with round neck and short puffed sleeves edged with a deep lace frill. The skirt is three quarter length and made in red and white striped cotton, decorated with a band of black cotton lace. 

A black embroidered apron edged with lace frills is worn over the dress and a straw hat decorated with flowers and black velvet ribbon completes this very pretty costume. The hat can be worn on the head or hanging down over the back.
