Elizabeth I as a girl is a wonderful miniature,
capturing the freshness of youth with the history of Tradition in her
dress.
A rich gown of red covers an underskirt of gold coloured brocade fabric.
Jewelled at the cuffs and on the braided neckline with a 'brooch' at the
bodice centre. A chain 'belt' of rhinestone and pearls hangs down at the
centre of her waist.
Elizabeths' headpiece matches her gown perfectly and is studded with
pearls and yet more 'jewels'. Around her neck she wears a double row of
pearls with pendant and in her ringed hand, a book. |
